My friend and I cruise Carnival every year in February. This is our 4th cruise and my 7th overall. We loved our itinerary of all of these beautiful islands however, the crew on the Valor were not friendly at all (with the exception of our cabin steward and 2 bartenders by the pool). The only day that felt party like was the day we sailed. The DJ was terrible and very unfriendly and we only saw the cruise director once or twice. I realize that we only had 1 sea day but, even that wasn't "fun". From this point on, I will not cruise from San Juan. I have never had anything but fun on Carnival going out of FL. I will stick with that. If you go to Barbados, do go to the Boatyard!!!! Fun place and great beach. Also loved St. Lucia and Rodney Bay. Do get as many people as you can in a taxi and negotiate rates. The flat rate they tell you is way to high. The more people that you can buddy up with, the lower you can get the rates. All in all, great trip. Weather was perfect. We did have lots of sea weed in San Juan and St. Kitts but, it's the time of year. Apparently that is normal. I will go back on this itinerary just not on the Valor.
