I will try and not duplicate what others have said in my review.

We have sailed on Holland and NCL many times and once before on Celebrity. We were very happy with Celebrity this time. There were a few areas of disappointment which I will mention, but overall it was a good cruise. First, the good stuff. Embarkation and Disembarkation with customs in Singapore was very fast. The ship was well laid out. We especially liked the ice cream bar and gelateria, lots of free toppings. We opted for an outside window stateroom rather than veranda. Typically, for us, the price difference is better put to use on other parts of the trip. This time, at the last minute Celebrity offered us a veranda with the same square footage as our window room, but at the front of the ship which would have meant more motion, so we declined. The main nightly ship's crew entertainment was excellent. The other entertainers brought on board throughout the cruise ranged from good to just OK.

Dining. Service is extremely slow in the main dining room. The quickest was 1.5 hrs, typically 2 hrs. The New York steaks which can be ordered daily were thin and always tough. I had to ask for a sharp knife to cut the steak as all the knives in the main dining room were dull. Jumbo shrimp and baked French onion soup were always available and always very good, as was the one time Lobster and Prime Rib. We ate once in the main dining room for lunch because the menu was appealing, but in general I don't eat much for lunch or breakfast. For breakfast I eat only fresh raspberries, fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee. Occasionally when there was an early shore excursion, I would order a steak for breakfast the night before. I have to ask the staff for the raspberries and steak, and they do their best to fulfill my request. In general the dining staff were always friendly and helpful.

Cabin Review

Ocean View 8

Cabin 08

The cabin was adequately laid out. Our room had a single sofa bed/couch and a small desk area. The large round windows on this ship were actually a bonus for me as there was a very large storage space the length of the window and about 1 ft wide that I kept all of my electronics on which I used daily. Without this space the room would have been a mess. Computers, cameras, charger, cables, backpack. I especially liked the built in night light in the bathroom. I had not been on a ship before that had this, and it comes in very handy if you walk around in the dark. Our cabin was on the lowest deck, mid ship. 4 rooms from the elevator. Our deck was also the deck most used for tendering and port visits, so I just had to walk 4 doors down, turn the corner and be off the ship.
