Went with family for a winter break. Have been on 9 other cruises (this is the 3rd one with Carnival).. Best way to sum it up is - fine with some low points.

First the high points. Embarkation. We had a suite so we got priority boarding so was very smooth, Steakhouse. Fantastic. To all of you who do not understand why it is not included in the price just have to experience this once and you will understand. Dis-embarkation. For having 3100 people to get off the ship, we were expecting issues and had none.

Low points that will probably keep us away from Carnival. The food. First of all we have cruised enough to know that if you want truly exception food you need to go on a high end cruise so most all of the cruise ships on this category are about the same on food (Holland, Celebrity, Royal). But this stuff was just un-inspired. I read another review where someone compared it to Golden Corral. I would say that is a fair comparison. It's like - "just throw this out there, these people will eat anything". Especially disappointing was the desserts.
