I love cruising and have cruised with Disney, NCL, Princess and Royal Caribbean. I was always scared to take a Carnival cruise because I was told it wouldn't be up to standards. My question now, is whose standards?

I want to commend the entire crew. From the first encounter to the last one, they were almost perfect. Some need to improve their English. (For example, we ordered room service and asked for decaf coffee for two. We got hot tea. The second order came and it was decaf tea! The third order had coffee so strong we could barely drink it.)

A few need to brush up on their customer skills. (Having just come back from the UK, I was use to wearing boots. I accidentally packed all of my shoes. When I called to retrieve the suitcase and get a pair of shoes, the young lady was very rude. However, my second call was answered by a young man who brought up the suitcase in less than an hour.)
