My girlfriend and I just got back from our cruise (January 24th- 31st 2015) Though we've been together almost two years, this was our first cruise together, and the first cruise I'd ever taken. My girlfriend has been on 7 cruisings with Royal, Carnival, and Princess. She was blown away by Oasis.

To make sure things went smoothly, we flew from Ohio the night before and stayed over in Ft. Lauderdale to be more relaxed for the cruise.

Embarkation was very short and easy. Port Everglades has made accommodations to streamline this process for Oasis and it shows. The ship is absolutely beautiful and the service outstanding. I may have spoiled myself for all future cruises with all that Oasis has to offer. All of the food was fantastic, we had great service and really enjoyed ourselves. We generally had dinner in the main dining room and we can't say enough about how good both the food and service were. Although there are plenty of options (at a surcharge) to choose from, we never found it necessary to go anywhere else for dinner. The food was truly amazing and our waiter always gave us suggestions on what was best a particular night. We did the late seating (8:30) and scheduled the shows for after dinner. One thing we really would recommend is to BOOK THESE AHEAD of the cruise as we did.

Cabin Review

Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin F

Our stateroom was very nice. It featured a Royal King which was more than enough space and all the amenities you would expect. Oasis has an interactive menu system that allows you to order room service, book shows, dinners, etc., which we found to be useful. The room itself was a decent size and sufficient for two people without going overboard on a more expensive stateroom. As nice as it was with the oversized window, I would guess that daily life is much different in the more elaborate and larger Suites Oasis has to offer. For basic traveling though, we were very happy with our room and enjoyed a beautiful view of the ocean when in our room.
