I'm not going to repeat what many other reviewers have already said about this fantastic cruise. I found their reviews to be very helpful, and I am going to add a few of my own comments and suggestions. Most importantly, this is a very "casual" cruise and passengers should prepare - and pack - accordingly. Please take lightweight clothing that can be layered, that wicks moisture, can be re-worn, and can be washed and dried quickly (if needed). Ladies; this is a no or low-maintenance cruise - leave the cosmetics and hair products home. My "wash and wear" hairstyle worked perfectly (although there are hairdryers in the cabin) and I wore a hat every time we went in the Zodiac. There is no need to dress for dinner, although a few passengers changed out of their day clothes into something a little bit nicer. Dressy clothes seem out of place. Also pack shoes that can get wet, are good for walking, and are lightweight. Lots of people wore Keens that seemed to do well (I wore beach shoes for the wet landings and trail running shoes for the dry landings and hikes). For inclement days, bring along a lightweight windbreaker and a pair of long pants. I was surprised at how many people didn't have any long pants! The physical challenges of the wet and dry landings and the excursions expressed in some of the other reviews were "overblown" in my opinion. We did the more active daily options and had no problems. People in fairly reasonable shape can handle all the daily excursions. After the cruise ended, we did the extension to Machu Picchu. The earlier reviews about the logistical challenges were accurate. While we did a lot of flying (Quito to Lima to Cusco and then back to Lima), we're not sure if there was an alternative. Machu Picchu was amazing and we're so glad we saw it!! The hotels in Quito, Cusco, and Lima were all exceptional as well as all the meals they served us. I tried to savor every moment of this trip. It will be one that I will not soon forget (or stop talking about)!

Cabin Review

Premium Ocean View Stateroom

We had a regular cabin on the 3rd level. I have nothing to add to the many other reviews except to say that the cabin was comfortable, had adequate storage, and a wonderful shower for a cruise ship. We hardly spent any time in the cabin. During the little free time that we had, we stayed in the lounge or sat outside. We did experience the rocking that others have complained about, but it was not bothersome to us. Now I know what it must feel like as a baby to be rocked!
