I love cruising! There has never been a cruise that we hated, but this one probably tied for least favorite. RCI in my opinon, really slipped on this one. What got me the most, was having to pre-pay gratuities by choosing My Time dining. I interpret this as they are trying to discourage My Time dining, and so one has to pay a "penalty", in order to choose what works best for you. I can't see any fairness in this. We always leave gratuities, but like to choose when we give them, and how much. Some other things about the ship: no pizza/burger cafe out by the pool, Windjammer closed at 9 PM every night- way to early! So, people were crammed into the Cafe Promenade for a late night snack, and of course, there were never enough seats. We never saw ice carvings,or fruit/vegetable carvings. It's like the whole ship had turned into a lower level type of experience, but go figure, the gratuities went up to $12.00 per day. And one last thing, was that we were only given 6 hours on the best island, including the time it took to tender in and back to the ship. We felt gypped out of experiencing more of the nicest place on the Itinerary.

We'll probably do a few more Princess cruises before considering RCI again!
