Firstly let me say I have never written a review and am doing so because I appreciate all the valuable information I have received from Cruise Critic and would like to pay it forward.

We were on the January 17th Sailing. We are from the great state of South Dakota in the Mid-West. I am 53, my wife is 49, and my son is 14. This is our 11th cruise and the 5th for our son. We have previously cruised with Carnival, Princess, Disney, and Royal Caribbean.

Dining: We did not purchase any dining or beverage package and opted to eat at the complimentary eateries. I think they have a good bakery on board as I enjoyed their rolls and flakey pastries. I do like that they offered a variety of food options including Flamingo Bar & Grill and O'Sheehan's Neighborhood Bar & Grill. I enjoyed the Beef and Chorizo burger and the Three Milk Cake at the Flamingo. The Brownie Cheesecake at O’Sheehans was good. There was no food in the dining rooms that were truly memorable. I felt the Prime Rib in the Tropicana room was lacking. The beef from the carving station in the Garden Café was better. I thoroughly enjoyed the waffles with whipped cream and banana sauce and also the hard ice cream on the buffet. The seafood night was a joke. If you go to the very aft of the buffet the lines are shorter and there are usually tables. My son thought it was cool to order the cheesecake from room service. I was not impressed with their chocoholic night.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BD

We were in cabin 10278. I liked the port side as you can see South Beach leaving Miami and view the fireworks from your balcony. I did not mind the cramped space entering into the closet as it was next to the couch and not the bed. I did not mind the small balcony either because this is the first time we had one therefore I have nothing to compare it to. I liked the roomy shower. I chose this cabin as it was very near the elevator. I would recommend choosing a cabin with a triangle shaped balcony as it is definitely larger. I purchased some Eco Pads for the 1 cup coffee maker and brought my own coffee. In hindsight I think the cabin steward would have given me more coffee had I requested it and the coffee they provided was good. Brought our own pop as it is more economical and the cruise line only has Pepsi products. I had the steward empty the refrigerator so I could utilize it. I requested an egg crate foam mattress for the converted couch as it is not comfortable. I brought along a small power strip as there are only two outlets. I also brought along a fake credit card to place in the main outlet to provide constant power to the cabin. I had to pilfer washcloths from our cabin stewards cart as there were none in my cabin. Oddly, I saw another gentleman having to do the same thing.Feel free to email me at cleanandsober88@hotmail.com if you have any inquiries.
