Our very first cruise was on the Riviera 2 years ago. Everything was wonderful and we decided that this was the line for our cruises. We took 2 more cruises, one being ;on the Oceania's Nautica. Something happened between our first cruise and the most recent one. Firstly, it was purchased by Norwegian which may or may not have had nothing to do with the decline in both food and service. In any case, the food, which used to be excellent was no longer so. There were several meals that were actually inedible. The quality of the food in the specialty restaurants and the Terrace Cafe buffet has declined and the same food for lunch was served every day with the exception of the hot dishes. Service was very spotty and more than once, I had to get up and seek out a staff member. Soiled glasses and dishes around the pool were picked up, eventually. Our cabin was very comfortable and kept immaculate. Plenty of storage, comfy beds etc., There was a need for the medical clinic and everyone there was exemplary. All in all, this cruise was a disappointment.
