We decided to walk to Philipsburg from the pier. There were directions pointing the way to go and it only took us about 10 minutes to get there. Once there we shopped on Front Street and found some interesting stores. There were plenty of jewelry stores, but we were not interested in those. After lunch we got in a taxi and asked her which beach she recommends. She said Mullet Bay was the nicest, more quiet and not as crowded as Maho Beach. So, we asked her to take us there. She was right! Mullet Bay is a beautiful, white sand, crystal blue water beach! It was gorgeous with some trees for shade too. We paid for the rental of some chairs and an umbrella and relaxed on the beach and swam in the water. It was a beautiful beach! There was a bar with food and drinks right there and a Jonny on the Spot washroom facility. Our taxi driver picked us up and we had quite the adventurous ride back to the ship. Maria is a great driver but she had my husband holding on for dear life as she raced into oncoming traffic at times to get another two passengers back to their cruise ship on time. It was hilarious. She got them back just in time and even got herself clearance to drive right up on the pier to drop them off at the gangway! Way to go Maria!

St. Maarten

San Juan is beautiful! We walked all through the old city and both the forts. Gorgeous architecture, and stunning views all around. We had fun finding and taking pictures of Iguana's and some smaller lizards and crabs. Cool! I would have like to spend more time there!

St. Kitts, Sky Safari Tours, Zip Line adventure was my favourite excursion of all! Zip lining has been something I have wanted to do for some time and it was so worth the money! Sky Safari runs a very organized company. The ride up the mountain to the base of the zip line with our driver, Spec, was very informative. Spec told the history of the island and gave a great tour. He was funny and friendly! Once at the base, you meet your guides that will take you through the zip lines. Our guides were Chino and Baby Boy. They broke the ice and nerves with their joking and gorgeous smiles! They told us all about the harnesses that we would wear and how they work. They did a great job encouraging those who were a little nervous. Your first trip on the zip line is on the Monkey Trainer. This is a short practice run so you get the feel of it before the larger ones. Next, you get into the back of a huge truck that takes you up the crazy mountain road. It was an adventure in itself. Now the fun really begins. Zip lining in their harness allows you to have your hands free so you can take pictures and have your arms out while going down. Such a great experience to feel like you are flying free! We even were able to hang upside down while zip lining! Amazingly fun!!! Thanks to our handsome guides, Baby Boy and Chino, who really made the trip so much fun! You guys are doing a great job!

The catamaran ride was part of the snorkelling experience. I really enjoyed riding on the catamaran. It's a lot of fun!

First time ever on a catamaran and snorkelling! So much fun! I was a little nervous to snorkel. Didn't know how I would feel once in the water with all the fish swimming around. However, it turns out that is was an incredible experience! I highly recommend snorkelling if you get the opportunity to do it. Just beautiful and peaceful to see all the colourful fish everywhere. After snorkelling we sailed to a private beach on the catamaran. The crew was friendly and turned up the tunes so people could dance and have a great time. The beach was gorgeous and they offered refreshments like rum punch or juice and some snacks for no extra charge. It was a great time. My bathing suit cover-up blew into the water on the ride back to the ship and one of the kind crew members dove in and retrieved it for me. I was so grateful! Very fun excursion, and I can't wait to do it again!

We found our cabin to be very roomy and comfortable. I loved having a window to look out of. It was a little noisy when the engines were slowing down, we could hear the change sounds they made. Other than that, it was a very nice stateroom.

We had our first cruise on the Carnival Freedom ship in Jan.The staff that work on the ship were so friendly and welcoming.
