Cruise date February 1st 2015.

My wife and myself are from Houston (about 8 Miles from the Bayport port). We had a friend drop us off at the front of the terminal for the first cruise from this location. Nothing much to look at when coming to the terminal but it is very functional. Note: no stores on the Port road. We had received a notice in email that said we should get to the terminal at 2 p.m for the Lido deck load. This worked out very well and we had a porter pick up our luggage strait out of the car. Very little line and we had our cruise cards. This was the fastest so far to get on the ship.

We had been on the Star last year and I am making comparisons of two very nice ships. I think the emerald is laid out better than the Star Princess due probably to more space. The movies under the Stars had 3 rows of stairs to watch the movie, this gave a leveled affect and could watch the movie with more people. They did a great job at setting up the lounging chairs each day for sun bathing. The Star had a problem that all the chairs that you wanted to lay on had been stacked. Read more
