Having read multiple negative reviews about this ship and the ports of call, I set sail with quite low expectations. Mind you, this is not a mega ship, and the facilities reflect that. It is, however, in wonderful shape and with a terrific crew eager to attend to your every need. We did find the food in the Windjammer limited and uninteresting. There were plenty of other options though. Even with My Time Dining we had the same wait staff every night. They were excellent. I felt that the entree options were a step down from what we had previously experienced on RCCL. the more creative dishes were the best options, and everything was beautifully presented. Lunch at Izumi was an excellent treat.

We never sat through an entire show in Masquerade, but there was plenty of entertainment throughout the ship-always something fun happening in the Centrum. On our sailing there was a entertainer in the Schooner Bar; we enjoyed a couple of evenings there with a Billy Joel tribute being especially good.

It is our usual plan to do excursions with land based operators. In Roatan we booked a Best of Roatan tour through Bodden Tours. They were extremely accommodating even to including a stop at Sandy Lane Orphanage to drop off gifts we had brought to this very impoverished island. Of course we had many laughs at the monkey farm and an overall delightful day. Cavetubing.bz was the provider in Belize; such a good choice. After arrival at the National Park, we hiked through the rain forest with two very helpful guides. Our tubes had been carried to the departure prior. It was truly a unique experience to float through these huge caves tethered to a few other tubes. Felt safe at all times, and I am generally claustrophobic. In Costa Maya, do not miss the Mayan Experience with The Native Choice!
