This was our first cruise with our family of five. We chose this particular cruise due to the ability of having a room that slept five, and all of the kids activities available for our 8, 11, and 16 year olds.
Embarkation:
We had the red-eye flight in and arrived at the airport at 8:30am, so changed into more comfortable clothes for the nice warm Miami weather, had a bit to eat, and then took a Taxi (only $24) to the port. We found ourselves at the terminal at 10am.

Family Oceanview Stateroom with Large Picture Window
This was a mid-ship room.It was a tight room for Five, with not enough space to unpack for all five, but we managed. Luckily the only times in the room were for sleeping. The beds were all comfortable, and after trying to figure out how the fifth person got a bed, when we arrived back at our room after diner the first night, the bunk was opened (drops out of the ceiling).Only one outlet in the room, so I had planed ahead and brough extension cords and a power strip so we could charge all our phones and cameras each night.The main light switch was activated by your room key, but found out any card in your wallet will work. The outlet is also switched with this switch. It took us a while to find all the switches, but you can turn off all the lights without removing the key card from the switch.Only on the port days did we have issues with noise. 7:30am each port morning we were awoken by what every they were doing while docking the ship, but other than that, a very quiet room!The kids liked sitting in the window an watching the sea roll by.Bathroom had a bath, and double sinks.
