We have sailed with Celebrity on a number of occasions and have enjoyed the previous cruises. We observed on this cruise, however, that they have cut back substantially on the activities they offer as well as their cruise director's staff.

I love line dancing as well as ballroom dancing. One of the main reasons we go on cruises is to dance. I have enjoyed line dancing almost every day on every cruise, no matter what cruise line we sailed, over the last 20 cruises. This was the most disappointing we have ever experienced as far as a lack of line dancing. We had only one half hour (on a 14 day cruise) of line dancing. We had a second attempt, but equipment failure and wind cut it short. They asked me to let them know if there is something that I would like before it was too late to do anything about it. I told them I would like daily line dancing if possible. It just didn't happen. I believe part of the reason is that the cruise directors staff was recently cut from 6 to 2 people. It wasn't only dance lessons that were lacking, there was an overall lack of activities, period. I understand cost cutting, but this went too far. Personally, unless things change, I don't think I will ever sail with Celebrity again.

The tea bags in the Ocean View Café were so bad that even using 2 or 3 bags in a cup of tea didn't make it strong enough to taste good. The quality and variety of the food in the Ocean View and the main dining room were not up to what we were used to. We were very disappointed. The food was the 2nd biggest complaint we had. Perhaps we were spoiled by the food on the Royal Princess on our last cruise.

Deluxe Veranda 2D

Cabin 2D

Our cabin was a typical veranda cabin. There was nothing exceptionally good or bad about it. We did enjoy it as well as time on the balcony.
