Introduction

After years of my family and my partner saying I should go on a cruise, I finally went.

Cathy and I originally booked a premium balcony. I kept track of the fare reductions over the months. Starting at $669 per person, the fare finally ended up at $439. I was able to get all reductions except for the last one. That was for new bookings only. However, the Princess customer service representative (CSR) did upgrade us to a mini-suite for a fare of $449. The original fare for this cabin was about $1,000 each.

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MD

The room was great. There were two televisions but only one remote! The couch was comfortable enough to sleep on. I could see this being a great room for three people. The one drawback to the balcony was that it was not private. You were in plain view of every balcony above you. It would be great if Princess would place a cover over the balcony.
