Embarkation was very smooth and we were on the ship in 20 minutes. Rome airport was great - I don't know what all the paranoid people complain about. Any airport will have problems from time to time, just deal with it. We had no problem bringing 5 bottles of wine and champagne on board and our cabin steward even cleaned out the fridge for us to store them.

Food: Never hot, just barely warm. As a chef, I was painfully aware of how many food safety violations I witnessed and was amazed no one became ill from improper food temps. Variety was decent but overall quality was disappointing. The one exception was the Chocolate Melting Cake in the dining room. I ate this every night.

Service: Our cabin stewards were fabulous! Very sweet and took great care of our room. Our room was aft with a huge wrap around balcony. It is the only type to get - well worth it! Our dining room waiters were friendly and efficient.
