Let me preface by saying I'd read numerous reviews of this cruise but didn't want to believe everything until I experienced it for myself.

Embarkation - We flew into HOU that morning and hung out until time to catch an Uber ride. So cheap and easy (except for figuring out where to meet our driver. We're airport morons.) Uber cost close to $30 and you pay through paypal. With the free wifi at the airport it could not have been easier.

Once at the port, the porters met us at the car and took our luggage. We breezed through security around 10:45, 11. Employees guided us to check in, which took about 5 minutes total. We were given a number then waited almost 2 hours until our number was called. We knew the day was going to be nothing but hurry up and wait so we were prepared with fully charged batteries and headphones. Finally our turn to board. We wandered around for a little bit then went to the room to drop off back packs. We met our steward, Ryan, who never spoke without a smile! Seriously, one of the happiest guy on the ship. He and my husband bonded over NBA. It's cute to see 2 guys from different parts of the world so interested in the same things.

We had more than enough room for the 2 of us. The closet was mostly empty except for a few of my dresses. You could easily fit 4 people and their belongings. The bathroom was handy with the separate sliding door for the toilet. 11604 is almost centrally located. Once you figure out which elevator you need to go to, it's just a few more steps from aft than forward. The ship did rock quite a bit and the neighbor's door kept opening and shutting but not latching with every motion.
