The meet and greet at the airport was excellent. Transfer to the ship was excellent with the driver being very courteous. Upon arrival at embarkation we were shown directly to the counter to check-in. Because we had a transfer, our bags were taken directly to our stateroom although a little late. The cabin tags had obviously been ripped off and the staff did not know what stateroom we were in. It was only by chance that we noticed our bags sitting in a staff area on our level that we got our suitcases delivered to our room. Maybe Princess needs to find some other way of tagging bags, except by having to staple the tags onto your suitcases etc. Maybe a plastic tag where you can then write your cabin number that can then be attached to the bag. Overall check-in was smooth. All staff oat embarkation were courteous and efficient. The cabin D326, was spotlessly clean with plenty of hangers to hang clothes. The bathroom was spotless. The sliding doors to the balcony could have been cleaned. Overall cabin experience was excellent, Subin, our cabin steward was always helpful and polite. Thoroughly recommend him.

The public areas of the ship were spotless. All staff were friendly and efficient. The only thing that disappointed us was the Horizon Court dining area. Plastic (melamine) cups and plates and bowls. These have to be washed just like china, can't see why china wasn't used. Food was good but not outstanding. The bread and rolls were so nice, could easily get hooked on them. Afternoon tea in the Pacific Moon was excellent - try their scones, yummmm. The overall food dining experience in the any time dining was OK. But all restaurants, apart from the specialty restaurants, were all the same. Not quite sure why the restaurants are given different names, Santa Fe, Savoy, Pacific Moon, Vivaldis, when they serves exactly the same food. It would be nice if they had one or two difference specialities each night in each restaurant. We dined in Sabatinis which was excellent. The food was very, very good. We also splashed out and booked the Chef's Table, to celebrate a birthday, and this was well worth the money. To see behind the scenes and then be served this amazing food from the Chef and great wines from the Maitre D was outstanding. Would do this again if we travelled on Princess. The Japanese bath house was very relaxing.

the Lotus Spa, I would give a wide berth to. It is so overrated for the prices they charge. I had to halt my massage as I felt that the girls seemed very disinterested or gave the feeling that she was learning. Having massages on a frequent basis at home, I know when I am getting a good massage. This was appalling. At one stage the girl was leaning on the wall with her foot on the bath. After ceasing the massage after 15 minutes I was to find out that she was or had not been well. I refused to pay for the massage. I was offered an alternative the next day with an extra 15 minutes but it left a very bad feeling, so I refused.

Cabin Review

Cabin AE

Excellent. Plenty of room and would choose this type of accommodation again on this deck. The cabin was quiet, you did only heard people if they were shouting but otherwise very quiet.
