We'd never been on a cruise before but it was a gift for my parents so parents, us and two kids (8 & 10) went. We had NO EXPECTATIONS as none of us had ever been on a cruise before. First thing I can say is the onboarding process is not geared towards first-timers that have no idea what they're doing. But we muddled our way through and got on board. We were told that rooms won't be ready for a couple of hours and we can go have lunch.
