My husband and I decided to take an Eastern Caribbean cruise to get away from the cold weather at home. I had been wanting to try the Celebrity Reflection because it was the newest of the Solstice style Celebrity ships. We ;had previously sailed on the Solstice, Equinox and Eclipse and loved them, so we were sure the Reflection would be enjoyable as well. We were not disappointed. We booked an Aqua Class cabin for the first time to try it out because of all the positive comments we had heard from others about Aqua Class and the Blu Restaurant. We enjoyed the cruse very much. The ports were beautiful! We had never been to San Juan before, and that was nice. Also, St. Thomas was more beautiful than we remembered it being the other time we had been there (22 years earlier). We went to Magen's Bay Beach while on St. Thomas, and that was beautiful, although very crowded. We were a little disappointed with Aqua Class, though. We had envisioned the cabin being bigger than the cabins we had on the other Solstice style ships, but it wasn't. The only difference seemed to be the extra jets in the shower, which didn't matter to me. The quality of the food in Blu seemed a little better than in the main dining room, but the portions were smaller, and they didn't show French onion soup or shrimp cocktail on the menu as they do in the main dining room. We noticed someone ordering those items anyway, so we asked our waiter if we could order them, and he said we could. Our cabin attendants were very nice, but extremely overworked, so our cabin was not made up until late in the mornings. The hors d'oeuvres provided in our cabin in the afternoons were mediocre, and the complimentary bottle of white wine was also mediocre. Also, apparently, Celebrity no longer provides chocolates on the bed pillows in the evening. We only had chocolate covered chocolate sandwich cookies on our pillows on the last formal night. Not that we needed the chocolates, but it was a nice touch in the past. Overall, we did enjoy the cruise and would recommend it to others.
