Noisy engines & annoying vibration. Entertainment (?) nobody really wants to see not one, but two shows featuring other guests (ya know, the same ones who can't wait for kareoke hour & should never, ever, be part of a ships entertainment itinerary), or how about two (or was it three) juggling/comedy/majic shows? I can remember when the evening shows were really something to look forward to, so please, Carnival, spend a few bucks and hire truly entertaining entertainers. Also, this particular ship is in need of some serious TLC, chipped, rusted paint throughout and the upholstery in the public areas is disgusting (stained & frayed). The food is good, if repetitious, and the crew is truly wonderful but several times i heard the head chef in the lido buffet area screaming at the people working under him, very unprofessional and disturbing to see those hard working young men being bullied like that. Last but not least - embarkation - how about standing outside with no shade for a couple of hours, with plenty of room in the cool dome it didn't make any sense. Then i realized they were stalling the new passengers to get the previous guests and their luggage off, never experienced that before - really bad way to start off. The disembarkation process was a nightmare. When people miss their flights because their baggage is not delivered in a timely fashion and/or are forced to take taxis rather than pre-paid shuttle busses in order to make their flights - or as in my case, had to choose between waiting for a misplaced piece of luggage or missing our own flight - (i opted to leave the bag), only to have it sent to me at my own cost rather than Carnival taking responsibility for the cost - ( inexcusable). This cruise was our 11th, but our last with Carnival. It was a dissapointment to be sure, and definately not worth the time or money spent. Oh, just one more thing - how about actually having some bartenders behind those bars, that way, people wouldn't have to walk all over the ship just to get one of your $10.00 drinks!! THE FUNSHIPS? I don't think so.
