For the money, this was a fantastic cruise! With taxes, we only paid $220 per person (without the $12/day automatic gratuity). You just can't find a cruise on this side of the country for that kind of price! I had never been on a cruise, and I took my girlfriend who has been on like 10 cruises. I was worried that while I was busy being star struck by my first cruise, she would be yawning. But it wasn't like that! She'd never cruised on Norwegian, so it was something nice and new for her. Entertainment was amazing, food was good if you're not a super snob. If you are a picky eater, go to the Garden Cafe, because you can see your food. Sometimes the menus on this ship (and maybe other ships) try to sound very high end, and I end up not knowing what I'm ordering exactly. The first night, I thought I was ordering a pork chop but it ended up being like a pot roast. Not what I was expecting.
Pros
- Price! The destinations of the itinerary were a lot for not very much dough.
The room was bigger than I expected. I'd never been on a ship before though. There were no noises or anything that kept us up. The rocking was very peaceful and put us right to sleep. Body wash and shampoo come in pumps, not bottles like hotels. Nothing ever came up missing, but of course we used the safe. Willy F. was amazing. Lights take too long to turn on in the room and the switches are wonky.
