Enchanted. Most of the cruises we have taken were 7 to 11 day cruises. We recently got a small winter place in Florida. This provided the option for shorter cruises. In doing this we have used more than one cruise line. No need to discuss the others at this time, but the short cruises seem to lack a little something the longer cruises have. Enter Enchantment of the Seas! What a pleasure this cruise was. The ship had the friendliest staff we've cruised with in a long time. The room steward was a always a joy to talk with and the dining room folks, who handled our table, were most professional and attentive. The ship itself is older but in generally great shape. There is wear in places. The theater walls are showing wear where people get against them and the public restrooms seem to need some work, but if we based our trip on that alone we'd be pretty close minded.

We enjoyed this ship as much, if not more, than many newer ships we've been on. It is a pretty ship and the overall condition was great. We loved the Solarium area. The solarium can be a trip saver if the weather isn't perfect and it wasn't. Sunny, but breezy and a bit cool at times. Hey, it's January, what can I say. The Main dining room was great and we had the open dining option. I reserved a time online before leaving an we were seated at the same table, with the same wait staff, each night. I liked that better than some lines/cruises we've been on. We have never been at the same table two nights in a row until this ship. Worked very well for us. We did not use the specialty restaurant this trip.

The rooms were in good condition and clean. We had a double port hole window this trip - in front of the ship - port side (2008). A good room and we had no problem, but you are going to hear the winches when letting out and pulling in the ropes at the dock.

Two smaller port holes. Very nice condition. Can have noise, when getting tied up at port, as it is located behind mechanical area for winches (ropes being let in and out at the pier). So, when arriving and leaving. It will last for 30 minutes or so. Otherwise no issue with noise. Closet space, at first glance appeared small but worked well and with the drawers in the room it was very good. This was a 4 day cruise and we didn't pack heavy.
