We started our journey on Friday January 23rd, 2015 from Ohio. With 13 of us driving to Detroit, Michigan to fly to Fort Lauderdale. The rest of our group will meet on board the ship. We had a nice flight and went to get our baggage only to find my sisters luggage was ripped she went to baggage claim and they offered her a new piece of luggage free of charge that was a lot nicer then what she previously had. Then I had called for the Free shuttle and we gathered our group and headed outside to wait. We stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites located on 1800 S. Federal Hwy. about 5 minutes from the airport. When we arrived I was very impressed with the lobby and the employees to greet us. We checked in then walked about 3 blocks to Bistro Mezzaluna, 1821 SE 10th Ave. Fort Lauderdale, where we had reservations for dinner.

Saturday January 24th - we had free continental breakfast buffet and then I had walked next door to CVS Pharmacy where I had forgotten a few items that I picked up which was very convenient. Then the hotel shuttle took us to Port Everglades (about a 5 minute drive) at 11:45 am for $ 7.00 a person. Once at Port Everglades the porters were very nice and helpful unlike some other cruise terminals I have been to. Once our luggage was with the porters we continued inside where we had a short wait of about 15 minutes. The we got our sail and sign cards and was on our way after they took the handicap first. We went directly to our rooms and the cabin steward advised we could leave our belongings as they were finished with our room. Then we headed to the Lido deck to have lunch.

Sunday January 25th - was a sea day, checked out the ship and played some of the activities. Met with the group leader Michelle, who was very helpful and fixed some bugs we had in our booking. The only thing I was not impressed with was our last ship had an adult serenity deck and this ship did not and there were only 2 adult hot tubs that were in use all week except when we had dinner or at the shows and when we wanted to use they were closed, very disappointing.

I must say that we met our cabin steward (Steve) when we entered our room and he saw us 2 and 3 times a day and always called us by name. Our cabin was cleaned and never had to ask for anything. I always could not wait until after dinner to see which animal we were going to get.
