We sailed on the Brilliance of the Seas January 26th-31st. The ship's passengers ranged in age from young to old. I had previously read reviews indicating this particular ship catered to the older clientele but this was not the case in my experience. The embarkation/disembarkation process went smoothly with no issues.
There was plenty to do throughout the days at sea including Bingo and gym activities. There were also great evening shows. A couple of the independent acts were super cheesy, but the Brilliance of the Seas performers were so good. There were four main singers who sang accompanied by the band. They did two shows a night and always performed like it was their first time. They all had fantastic voices and so much energy despite so many costume changes! One thing that stood out, in particular, in terms of entertainment was the strings/piano performer, Fleur De Lis. They performed various times throughout the ship and they were amazing.
As with ever cruise experience, space at the main pool was limited but people were good about giving up seats after a while. It was never an issue for me and my wife.
We stayed on the 7th deck balcony room and it was perfect. It had plenty of space for two people and the bed was very comfortable. What you pay for when you get a balcony is the view. We watched the sunrise and set most nights and the view was breathtaking. It was honestly so amazing. I can't complain one bit about my room location
