Our group was five couples re-connecting for a quick weekend cruise. All local folks, we like these little local cruises as it is so easy leaving from home. Princess does a great job with these and we've enjoyed many of them, out here on the West coast we don't have too many choices for local cruising anymore. Embarkation was very easy, we arrived around 1pm and pretty much walked right on board, while the dining room had closed at 1:30pm, we dropped off our stuff at our cabins and went to the buffet to eat. The food in the Horizon Court was as expected, not great but your standard buffet fare. Most of us had interior cabins, getting a great deal from Princess, and everyone had good things to say about them, comfortable beds, bedding and clean, friendly helpful service. The Crown is having some real problems with her plumbing in the public restrooms all over the ship. On two of the three nights there were multiple closed or un-usable facilities on decks 5,6 and 7.....not cool. Our other disappointment involved the "smoking lounge" called the Speakeasy right off the casino. We've been on the Sapphire and Golden which had really great smoking lounges that had complete bar service and wonderful ventilation that made your time there very pleasurable. Here is was very small with no bar, too few seats and NO VENTILATION. The smoke was so thick that our friends could not be in there with us, I only enjoy a cigar while on vacation, it's a treat......but cigars are not allowed up on the pool deck with the other cigarette smokers, so this was our only option. One would come out of there smelling awful.....not pleasurable. The "my time" dining worked out well for us, as a party of ten we would make a reservation in the morning for us and could get in at 7:30 or 8:00pm if we could not get there by 5. They did a pretty good job with the super bowl, showing it at MUTS, and Fusion Lounge, then opening the Explorers Lounge as well. Debarkation was a disaster, as we had to dock at berth 46 which is 2.5 miles down from where we left as there were two other ships in port that morning. Getting to our waiting lounge at 7:45am and waiting till 9:20 to be called, only to walk down two floors and snake around the atrium until we got to Michealangelo dining room to have customs process us. There were 4 agents for all 3400 passengers.....then get bussed up to where our cars were. It was a taxing end to a fairly nice weekend.

Interior starboard side forward.....very comfortable, ship was rocking pretty good on Saturday night, but coming Northbound was very smooth.
