This was our first cruise so we weren't sure what to expect. We are in our 40's, travelling with two kids (tweens). Overall, we really enjoyed this cruise. This is not a party ship and the crowd is definitely older, although there were lots of multi-generation families on board so we didn't feel out of place. This was a very relaxing cruise, with some great family time both on the ship and in the ports. We'd do this again in a heartbeat.
Safety Drill - Be prepared to stand there for 45 minutes in the heat, crowded with everyone else. It's not pleasant, but has to be done. Wear a hat and bring some water to drink.
Room - We had a large ocean view room for us and our two kids (tweens). There was plenty of storage, though I strongly recommend an over-the-door shoe hanger for the bathroom door - store toiletries there as the bathroom counter is quite small. Also bring some hanging shelves for one of the closets for organizing shoes. I brought extra hooks for the bathroom as the clothesline is not big enough for the constant cycle of wet bathing suits and swim shirts for four people. The AC worked fine. It won't turn the room into a meat locker, but keeps it at a nice temperature.
Very quiet. Occasionally heard footsteps on the Promenade Deck above, but not enough to disturb us. We never heard noise from our neighbors or the hallway.Storage was ample for four people. We unpacked as soon as we got our luggage and were able to fit all our suitcases (4) under the bed.Beds were comfortable and with the gentle movement of the ship, we all slept very well. One kids slept on the sofa bed (single) and the other slept on a single bed that dropped down from the roof. Room stewards were great and kept our room in good order.
