This is the 2nd time that I have sailed on the Eclipse. I have previously taken many cruises on most of the other Celebrity ships. I enjoyed the cruise. We chose a concierge cabin on deck 10 midship and did select dining. Our waiter, Laksmana and his assistant, Arthur were outstanding. We requested and sat at the same table during most if the cruise. Our cabin stewards were always cheerful. They were fabulous. No request was too much for them. We loved the cabin location on deck 10.....quiet, large veranda with overhand, great views, and wide corridor. I liked being close to the library with its comfy chairs. It was like having a living room area. Conciege amenities are a bit better than non concierge. Thicker towels were nice.

However, since the concierge and non concierge veranda cabins are the same size, I do not think the extra cost is worth it. Next cruise I will book a regular veranda. We are elite. Elite perks were nice. We especially liked using the coupons for the cocktail time. Our favourite bar was the ensemble lounge. Our favorite server was Sophi. Food offerings were good. I enjoyed the breakfasts, lunches and dinners in the MDR. I did not like the buffet or pool grill. Buffet area is too big. Carrying food is not easy. Not enough choices. Lunch was mostly the same each day. It was boring. We ate in the Tuscan Grill. It was nice. However, at $45pp extra, it was a bit high. Most tables were empty. We thought about eating at Murano. Reservation was not available at the time we wanted. Saved spending the extra $50pp surcharge. We enjoyed the ports, production shows, the 4 tenors, and Dan Wilson. Entertainment was mediocre. The house band was too loud. The violin duo was fair. The jazz group was very good. Pool deck entertainment was too loud. So loud that when there was entertainment, I left. The band kept playing the same set of songs. 14 days of yellow bird and it's 5 o'clock somewhere is too much. The best part of the cruise was the charming attitude of the staff. They were always smiling, ready to serve, and pleasant. The staff on the Eclipse was the best that I have seen on a Celebrity ship. The hotel director is outstanding. It was especially nice not hearing people complain. We met a lot of nice people. We booked this cruise for Jan. 2017. Embarkation in Miami was terrible. Disembarkation was easy.
