We just returned from our 1st big boat cruise and must say we are very disappointed. Let me say, we are not novice travelers. We have travelled throughout the Carribean and been on a Viking River cruise. Our problems began when we tried booking shore excursions online - the online reservation system didn't match the day we were to be on the island (eg, the kayak excursion was to be on Coco Cay which was Day 1 but the system showed it as day 2). I tried calling customer service which is better known as customer no service. I would suggest when system changes are made quality control test before releasing to for customer use.

Once on ship our state room with balcony was nice and enough room for the 2 of us; however, the bed was extremely lumpy and uncomfortable. The food at the Windjammer and My Fair Lady restaurants were adequate. The staff were all very nice and helpful. Disembarking was the most disorganized chaotic frustrating expreience I have ever encounter. We started in one line that looped around the ship on deck 5, then we had to carry our luggage down a flight of steps to deck 4 and looped around again just to get to the gang plank. We complained to the staff and were told "sorry but it's because of the tide". I'm sorry but there were several older people standing in line for an hour with no where to sit and then they were expected to carry their luggage downstairs again no assistance...where was the customer service? One would have thought this was RCLs maiden voyage. Bottom line, RCL has lost any future travel from us.
