Overall we enjoyed the cruise. I will try and give my honest impression of it all. Overall we enjoyed the Breakaway and the Cruise but there were some things that we didn't like. Embarkation went as expected some waiting but overall quick and painless. No one should expect to just walk right on board, a little patience will start you off on the right track. So the crowd at this time of year was older, nothing wrong with that just for younger cruisers maybe you won't get the time you expected on the ship.

Food and dining, We added the ultimate Dining package and if you plan on eating in the specialty restaurants this is a great option but you need to sign up for the cirque du soleil show right when you get on the ship. It is part of the package. Our favorites were Moderno, La Cucina and Le Bistro. For the ala carte places, Shanghai Noodle was the hidden gem, lots of great food and with the dining package 20% discount. Wasabi sushi was good but they don't pay attention so know what you are ordering, they forgot my tobiko on my roll and I had to ask for it. The Raw bar was a bit pricey for what I am used too, Raw Oysters were way to expensive when I can get a variety for a dollar an oyster. Included dining spots, Garden Café was just the routine buffet, O'Sheehans was a good alternative for all meals however I was very disappointed in the fried chicken. their breakfast was good. The hotdog stands on the ship were very good for quick bites.

Entertainment: The shows were great, Rock of Ages, Oh What a Night, Cirque de Soliell , and Burn the Floor were all great shows and I would recommend everyone see them. Second City was ok, but we have seen them before and was kinda of a rehash. They had a comedian on board who did improve and it was a great show. I would rate the shows as excellent. For places to go Spice H2O was always the happening place and the Cruise director Julie and Asst Cruise Director, Andre were always fun and keeping it lively. Look for Julie's Cameos in the on board entertainment shows like Rock of Ages. Bliss the on-board dance club was boring most of the time probably due to age of most cruisers. The music was always old school mostly 50's-80's which really wasn't our style.

Cabin Review

Spa Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin M9

We really liked the shower and the room was ample for us. It includes the Thermal Suite at the Madera Spa so that was a great way to start and end the days.
