I enjoyed this boat and the cruise line immensely. Freestyle cruising is the way to go. Plenty of activities available for those who want to be entertained all day long. This is the first vacation that I have truly relaxed on in a long time. We had a mini suite that allowed for a little more space. The balcony was nice and even leaving from New York in the middle of winter allowed us to use it plenty. The available packages that were included in my fare allowed us to enjoy unlimited (adult) beverages. This is a real bonus for anyone that enjoys a few cocktails. We also has the choice of the dining package or prepaid gratuities. The array of excursions available made it hard to choose. One highlight for me was swimming with the dolphins in Anguilla. Cruising is enjoyable and does focus on the ports of call but somedays it was nice to sit by the pool and relax. There were about 5-6 specialty restaurants available for a nominal fee but when the food is this good even at the buffet, why bother? I preferred the Grand Pacific restaurant over the Magenta for atmosphere. I like the relaxed dress code. The cruise ships know how to encourage you to purchase lots of pictures and offered a reasonable package over the other cruise lines. I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed the Norwegian experience. I have cruised with Carnival and Princess in the past. I would now say that Norwegian was my best well rounded experience. Another bonus was the behind the scenes tour on the last day of our voyage. We visited many normally unseen places. I only wish we got to see the average room a crew member shares with others. My only negative comment is the lack of seating at the buffet at breakfast time. We would need to spend a fair amount of time procuring an available table and guarding it while each got food separately. We would walk by countless tables with people doing the same while other members were getting food, a little frustrating.

Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MA

The room was nice and everything worked well. I thought the mini bar was locked a ll week. I discovered on the last day that the door opened opposite than I thought it should. My husband complained the bed was a little hard but we both slept very well. We were able to easily obtain an extension cord for my husbands sleep apnea machine. I loved this perfect mid ship location.
