This was our 36th cruise. Coming fresh off the Oasis, we set our expectations a bit low. Boy were we wrong. This cruise was superior in every respect. Especially the entertainment was so much better than what we were used to see on many previous cruises. Stunning shows with pyrotechnics and laser light. And not just one show, but three (on a seven day trip). Absolutely fantastic!

Embarkation was quick and easy. In part because we always like to get onboard somewhat late in order to avoid the line-ups. We went straight to the cabin where the room steward was waiting to introduce himself. Nice, friendly and efficient. The room itself was ok. Not outstanding, but ok. The one unusual quirk in this room was the hot water supply. It takes about5-10 minutes running the water full blast before it starts getting hot. Perhaps an issue with pipe insulation to that cabin (our friends in other cabins did not have this problem).

The quality and selection of the food offered was generally good. I was a bit disappointed about the lack of smoked salmon at the breakfast buffet, but then discovered that they offered an incredible delicious smoked salmon at the daily brunch in the dining room. By the way, this brunch is not to be missed. Excellent selection and quality!!

Cabin Review

Interior

Cabin 4A

this is a cabin for handicapped customers. Very large shower space, but a rather small bedroom and less cabinet space than a normal inside cabin. It takes a looooong time for the hot water to show up. But it will show up eventually.
