Just got back from 18 nights aboard the Silver Shadow. I had to write this review after reading other reviews. We enjoyed every aspect of our cruise. There is always room for improvement but none that got in the way of our enjoyment. We had a two bedroom suite on deck 7. Our butler was always available and attentive to our needs. We are in our 60's and traveled with our son and wife who are both 28. We all have over 50 days on Silver Seas and cruise frequently. We enjoy all level of cruises from Carnival to Regent/Silver Seas. The staff on board is what always brings us back to Silver Seas.

After reading other peoples post it makes you think how some people thing they are holy. First 8 days of our trip the boutique and main hall way was closed and numerous people complained that they couldn't believe they would do that while guest where on board. It was actually fun to see the progress and couldn't believe how efficient the trades men where. Big upgrade was made to the boutique on board. But people always find ways to complain. We always over hear people being negative. We just concluded that these people have nothing better to do besides complain and not appreciate the fact that they are capable of being on a luxury cruise ship exploring the world. Also overhear people saying that they are going to complain to try and get money off. Its ridiculous and makes you laugh internally.

Little about our trip. We arrived at Port Everglades and was on board within 10 minutes. Our room was in 701-703. Nice 2 bedroom suite with all the amenities. We had a nice bar in our room and a large living room area. We where going to bring our grand child but decided not too because we where worried what people on board would say but have decided we are bringing him next time. Stopped in Key West, Colon, transit the Panama Canal, Manta Ecuador, Trujillo Peru, Lima Peru, Pisco Peru, Arica Chile, and Santiago Chile. We got off in Trujillo and has set up our own tour to Machu Picchu. First we flew to Lima and connected on to a flight to Cusco. Stayed at the JW Marriot for two nights and did a full day trip to Machi Picchu. AMAZING!!! We then flew to Lima and rejoined the ship. We also enjoyed Manta and Pisco. Also the internet was great! Best internet onboard any cruise line and only $18 a day for unlimited use. We where able to facetime our grandson back home.

Cabin Review

Cabin RS

Veryu large suite in the front of the ship. Two bedroom two full baths and an additional bathroom off the living room. Enjoyed watching football games in the room.
