We have been on over 30 cruises, recently most of Celebrity since we receive some good rewards from the Captain's club. However we wanted to try the new Quantum and it was convenient to sail from Bayonne since we live Upstate in NY . We had a bus from the Albany area and arrived about 10:30 on January 11. Our luggage was taken from us and we next saw it in our cabin, about 3 hours later. Very easy. Check in was also painless. We were on board by about 11:30 and went to have lunch at Two70. A little crowded, but nice selections of food, made to order salads, sandwiches, drinks, desserts. About an hour later our cabins were ready. Our cabin was on deck 7 with a veranda. Good location, close to elevator going to the solarium, close to stairway which led to our favorite Schooner Bar, 2 decks down. It was quiet, the veranda was a nice size and our room attendant was wonderful.

We pre arranged for all our restaurants and shows. Some people we spoke with didn't know that they should do this and some of them had problems with making reservations. Ours worked out fine. We weren't looking forward to Dynamic Dining, but we enjoyed it. We ate in Chic, American Icon, Silk, Grande, all complementary and good. We paid to eat in Jamie's Italian And Chops. Both very good. We found the crew to be very nice. The waiters worked hard and served us well. We never had to wait more than a few minutes for a table. We were asked if we minded sharing tables about half the time. We enjoy a large table so it was all good. The other nights we had a table for two, also fine. We had all of our breakfasts in the Windjammer and there was so much to choose from. We ate some lunches there, some at Two70, had hot dogs from the Hot Dog stand in the SeaPlex once, and Pizza and sandwiches on the Promenade a few times. Lots of choices for lunch.

Our main complaint is that there was not enough entertainment. We enjoy seeing a show every night. We saw every show that was offered and they were very good, tho some were a little different than we were used to. Some nights there were no shows and since we don't go to the casino there was not much to do.
