Having sailed the Caribbean many times, we took the cruise on the Oasis to see the ship, and it did not disappoint!

The ship and its venues are all they are said to be. It is a real engineering marvel, and even with 6000 people on board there were very few times you ever felt like you were in a crowd, even on the elevators. That said, the cruising experience was not perfect. MTD worked all right but we found the main dining rooms were noisy, and we felt like the waiters and staff saw you as second class diners since your tip was already paid. We discovered the Bistro restaurant up in the Solarium the last night of our cruise. It serves the same menu as the dining rooms with an extra bonus of a desert bar. Much quieter and more pleasant dining experience. Reservations are allowed there as well and it counts as a specialty restaurant toward your discount if you eat at three of them. Also a good choice for breakfast along with the Cafe in Central Park. We tried two other specialty restaurants and found 150 Central Park to be a fine dining experience. Giovannis was not as special. Cats was the only show we were not happy with but that may have just been us. Really enjoyed the show at the Aqua theater, comedy shows and Come Fly with Me. Best you try to make all your reservations for the shows before embarkation to ensure you get to see them when you want to. People without reservations often were turned away from the smaller venues and were seated after those that had reservations. Best seats are obtained by being at show venues about 1/2 hour early.

Embarkation and Disembarkation were smooth. Off and on at ports was also no problem.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D3

Very acceptable and highly recommend decks in mid levels to allow easy stair access to venues so as not to be dependent on elevators and to allow some exercise.
