After having survived a life threatening event last May, my doctors allowed me to take a vacation in late 2014. We chose to go to New Orleans and celebrate the Christmas Holiday for four days. We then boarded the Carnivel Dream on 12/28/14 for a 7 day cruise to Roatan, Belize & Cozumel. This included New Year's Eve aboard the ship.

Having sailed Carnival many times and leaving from NOLA, on the Conquest, we chose, once again, a Lido deck cabin; No. 10256. The location is amazing! You can walk out into the pool area and continue on to the buffet; all on the Lido deck.

The ports offered the usual land tours; though most were a bit too strenuous for me at this time. My wife did do the Zip Line Express in Roatan. She was terrified the whole time. But she is not the youngest of passengers these days,. That's all I will say about age!!!!

Absolutely and positively a good choice of location Near the elevators but not too close. Quiet area! The closer you get to the pool area the noiseier it will be when out on the balcony. I had changed cabins a couple of times due to that.
