Got off to bad start, flew out on a tatty Thomas Cook plane instead of Dreamliner, holiday booked a year ago. Paid for premium seats, the service was lacking, limited refreshments and sitting in dirty seats.
Arrived at Montego Bay, transfer to ship was efficient, slow check in at port to embark. We have cruised on the dream before and noticed some refurbishment which was pleasing. Cabin was as we expected. We got good service in all areas for drinks, we were all inclusive, quality of drinks differed depending on where you were, exceptional in tides bar. We ate in the Orion restaurant each evening ( apart from seasick nights), the food was generally good, a little slow, sat at same table each evening, the service was friendly and efficient.
The majority of staff did not seem too happy, but I can understand that they had been experiencing, what we were going through, for the past 3 weeks, feeling unwell ( seasick) and not being able to get off the ship to send money home, ie ship not docking at port. The itinerary in the brochure looked so in inviting but the reality was, totally unacceptable.
