We've taken more than 25 cruises in the past 15 years and this is our second time on Celebrity. The itinerary was terrific and our "package" included round trip air LA-Auckland, Sydney-LA AND hotels in Auckland (2 nights) and Sydney (3 nights). The cruise director, JC, was one of the best we've seen (although he was absent the first 3 nights). The entertainment was diverse; the ship was lovely; our cabin steward, Romeo, was great. This is the second time we have done Aqua Class. The "Blu" Restaurant was slightly better than average when we were in the Caribbean last January. It was completely mediocre during this cruise. The service, menu, flavor, and ambience were nothing special, although the sommeliers were both attentive and knowledgeable. We did eat in both Tuscan Grill and Silk Harvest. They were both outstanding. The Captain's Club Hostess was aloof! The shore excursions available from Celebrity were ridiculously expensive, but there were many available through Viator or the local ports themselves. The hotel in Auckland (Crowne Plaza) was okay. The hotel in Sydney (Park Royal Darling Harbor) was outstanding for location, breakfast, service. The two onboard enrichment speakers were good. The naturalist, John Cushman, was outstanding! The historian was interesting but could use work on his presentation/audience appeal skills. The Future Cruise staff was great. We will definitely cruise with Celebrity again (we booked 2 more cruises while onboard), but wonder if the additional money for Aqua Class/Blu Restaurant is worth it?!?!

Cabin A1

Great location mid-ship on starboard side. The showers in Aqua Class are great and we appreciate the daily fruit and canapés.
