My boyfriend and I were first-time cruisers, and were a little hesitant, as we didn't know what to expect. First of all, I was expecting a cramped room from reviews that I have read; this was not the case. The room fit me, my boyfriend, and a friend of ours ridiculously comfortably. The twin beds converted into an extremely comfortable queen bed, and the bed that came out of the wall served no problem for our third guest. Ample closet space, beautiful views from our picture window, and quiet corridors provided for a seamless stateroom experience. Only problem- bathroom was a little small, but definitely manageable.
The boat was absolutely incredible. The activities and events planned were not only fun, but spread out throughout the day so we always had something to do. The Bliss Club, music-filled lounges, and the casino provided for a great nightlife scene as well. The activities definitely made up for the four sea days, which weren't as hot as when we were on the islands.
The restaurants overall were adequate. The Garden Cafe, which was a buffet, definitely had a variety of food; however, the food was just tolerable. We got sick of it after a while! The same applied to the two dining halls, Magenta and the Grand Pacific, which had almost identical menus nightly. I would highly recommend purchasing the deluxe restaurant package; we ate at Teppanyaki (Japanese), Orchid Garden (Chinese), and Il Bistro (Italian) and all three were very much worth the additional fee.
