I expected a lot more out of NCL. This was our 10thcruise, and after a lot of lobbying by NCL(called with great deals) SO, we booked the "Epic" on a Itinerary that I knew would less than stellar, because of two ports, Cozumel and Georgetown. I have been to both many times and down what little there is to do there several times over. So we were putting a lot of our hopes on enjoying the ship. Previously, we did 1 cruise on Costa, three on MSC and 4 on HAL. I considered all three to be very good to excellent examples of luxury cruises. Especially HAL with its great service and food. Excellent ships.

Room.. Not happy. We had a balcony amid ship. Small laid out poorly, with an Slight S curve in the room design, bit crazy and hurt the functionality of the room room. two people could not pass in the very cramped cabin, hand wash sink and medicine chest in the cabin proper, separate shower room and a separate stool room, which was small for a big guy. Poor use of space. No shelves in large closet. No sound proofing for the stool compartment so every time you flushed the toilet it sound like a very loud vacuum cleaner blowing up. Wakes you every time you partner goes to the room in the night, you wake them up... Even woke me up sitting on the balcony! This was at least twice as loud as on any other ship I have been on.

Hotel hallways and floor layout narrow and confusing.. One side of the hall was like giant corugated styling, very odd. Too much walking. Loved the Bridge observation room...
