This was our first cruise, and we went as a large group of 14, ages 2 to 70. 6 children, 8 adults.
The check-in process is LONG. The area where we dropped off our luggage was DANGEROUS because we had to wait for someone in our group who needed to hand-write tags, and there was nowhere for us to wait, except where buses were pulling in and out. I was convinced one of the children were going to be run over! Then, we went to get in line, and the line was around the building. Thankfully, one of the helpful RC employees saw that my husband was disabled (he has a prosthetic) and allowed us to go through the disabled line to get inside the building. But once we got inside, the line took another hour! Once we finally got up to the front of the line, the actual check-in process was easy and smooth because we had all of our papers in order.
Our first stop, once we got to our rooms, was the Windjammer Cafe for lunch. Giant buffet, but good quality food. Packed, and during busy times throughout our time on Liberty of the Seas, it was difficult to find seating for any group larger than 4 people. We ate at Windjammer just about every day, and it had a great variety of fresh fruits and veggies, salads, ethnic food from Indian, Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, That, etc, and "American" foods like burgers and fries.
Pretty crowded for a family of 4, but that's what we expected. It was super quiet, really couldn't hear anything from the hall or surrounding rooms. The room itself was clean, but the bunks had chipped paint, and the shower had a tiny bit of mildew in the corners. The towels aren't super-fluffy, but they got the job done. The TV remote didn't always work great, but we were able to turn on and off the TV manually. The lighting at the vanity table was fabulous for Mom doing her make-up for dinner. We weren't in there much, but the beds were super-comfy.
