I have always wanted to try a Princess Cruise. When seeing their ships at port while on another cruise line, they seemed modern and inviting. From what I experienced on the Golden princess sailing from Rio to Valpariso on Jan 3-17 2015 it may be my first and last Princess cruise. I'm not quick to criticize, so this review comes after careful consideration.

Embarkment in Rio was caos, there were 3 ships boarding at the same time, the other cruise lines had personnel directing their passengers to the proper areas. Princess had none. We waited in 38 C weather in the sun for an hour prior to being able to drop off our suitcases. Then inside the port, we waited in line for over an hour and a half. Even prior Princess passengers had never experienced it this bad and unorganized.

The GOOD on the ship:

Balcony

Great room, large balcony. I was happy being close to the aft, not much affect from the waves. Lots of room for clothes. Storage for suitcases under the bed.
