Our group of 5 sailed on Pride of America 3/10-17. We had a fabulous time. Our party consisted of my dad (82 and somewhat disabled) my 18 year old daughter and my sister and a friend (all 3 of us fifty-somethings) We had 3 cabins together on deck 10 with balconies. My daughter and I had an adjoining room with my dad, which was very helpful.

We arrived in Honolulu the day before we sailed. My daughter and I settled in at the Ilikea Waikiki. Our room was spacious and had a great view from the balcony. We took a taxi to Duke's at the Outrigger Waikiki and had a very enjoyable time with a view of the beach. The next day we met up with the rest of our party and took a cab to tour the Arizona and the Missouri. My dad is a WWII vet and we did this for him, but it was very meaningful for all of us. We got there about 11:30 and got tickets for 1:15. The tour itself lasted about an hour and then we went to the Missouri. There were several cabs waiting and we took one back to the hotel, picked up our bags, stopped by the Sprint store for a charger and were on the ship by 5. A very easy embarkation except for my dad who unbeknownst to us was smuggling in a bottle of alcohol. They mean what they say about no alcohol.

The cabins were ready and were small but very clean and well organized. Our cabin attendant was excellent. He asked us once if we wanted ice and it was available every day after that. I left a note asking for extra towels which were provided from then on. The dial outside the room was very efficient. Almost without exception the staff on the ship were courteous and helpful. We chatted with quite a few of them and found them interesting and friendly.
