Travelled with 2 other families, initial impression was a little dissapointing after travelling on the Carnival Spirit on July 2013. The main interior of the ship looked dated and tired, however I soon got over this after a day or two. The service room 1160 was fine, old style TV but the bed was very comfortable as as usual the staff were more than happy to assist in any way possible. The Truffles restaurants was great and Alexandr and his team scored a perfect 10 looking after us each night. The kids loved Alexandr and could not wait to go to dinner which was an unexpected suprise.
My only criticism of Carnival was the cost of a bottle of white wine, $35 being the cheapest. (Except off the restaurant). The fittings are a big tacky, toilets very dated and the ships decor needs to be updated. Bug you need to keep in mind this is a family ship and all of the kids had the best time.
