After being on the Royal 3 times, we were anxious to see how the Regal compared. Other than a little added promenade deck, it still doesn't go around the whole ship. There was also an added small pool but we had a hard time finding it. Other than that, it is the same beautiful ship.

Checkin went very smoothly but as Elite, we were put into the wrong holding area. After I noticed other Elites being allowed on the ship, I showed a Rep our cruise card and she said we should have been let on earlier. But it was only an extra 10-15 minutes. Our original reservation was for a regular balcony suite but then a special was offered - giving us a mini suite for only a little more for 2 - a great deal.

When we found our room, we noticed the refrig hadn't been stocked yet. Checking things out there were no washcloths, no lotion, only one TV clicker and bottle caps and sacks from the previous guests. And we couldn't find the name of our Room Steward. While we waited for friends to checkin next door, our luggage was brought into our room - probably the shortest time we have had to wait. With our friends we went to lunch and walked around the ship. Back in our room, we unpacked but still no room steward coming and introducing him(her) self. Someone brought us champagne - a perk of the mini suite - but he didn't introduce himself and I didn't recognize him. We met other friends and went to dinner.
