My husband and I sailed on the Carnival Breeze and had some good and not so good experiences. I read the reviews after we booked and wish I would have read them before hand.. Although, for the money, I guess we got what we paid for. One thing I highly recommend is to buy the Faster to the Fun Pass! ($49 total not per person) We boarded the ship early with very little wait time, our room was ready immediately, our bags were brought right away and we were enjoying the ship well before everyone else was able/allowed to board. We also were able to check our bill and ask questions at Guest Services without waiting in line. I had to check the Carnival sight almost daily as this was sold out. I found it available after about a month of checking.
I will start with the good things that we enjoyed on this cruise:
The dining room (Sapphire) food was fairly good. The service we had was excellent! Our headwatress, Nadka treated us like family. She always seemed happy to see us and spent time visiting with us each evening. She is one of the best waitresses we have ever had bar none! There were many people that asked to be seated in her area every night for good reason. (We chose the anytime dining.)
Our cabin was very clean and is a nice size for 2 people. Our cabin steward, Sony was fantastic. If you are lucky enough to get him as your steward, you won't be disappointed in any way with the service he provides. The only negative thing I have to say is the bed was horrible! Sony brought a mattress pad for the bed that helped some but overall the bed was uncomfortable and needs to be replaced. The balcony has a nice unobstructed view and is big enough for 2 people to sit and enjoy the views. This room is on the Lido deck. You are close to all of the entertainment and elevators but the room is far forward and you do not hear any noise. I loved the location!
