This cruise was probably my 5th Royal Carribean cruise. Hubby and I are newly rtired, seasoned travelers and cruisers. We have not sailed Royal Carib in about 5 years, so we were a bit surprised at some of the changes that have occured with the lack of service and overall quality of the cruise. To make this revie more helpful I will try to categorize my comments.

Embarkation/ Disembarkation- Both were quite efficient. Able to board easily around 11:30 am, allowed in the cabins around 2 pm. Food was available at the Windjammer. Big disappointment was the lack of WELCOME ABOARD we are accustomed to when boarding a cruise ship? Apart from the traditional lackluster boarding photo that was taken, we were not greeted by staff saying Welcome Aboard or something. Not a welcome aboard drink offered...nothing! Disembarkation was pretty easy as we chose to walk ourselves off with our bags...early departure is nice.

Food- quality was ok in the Minstral Dining Room ( Your Time Dining ). The servers weee pleasant and tried to please everyone. Generally the food in the Windjammer was mediocre to low quality, boring, and very disappointing. The Park Cafe in the Solarium area is a good bet for light foods, light breakfast, yummy carved roast beef sandwiches, cookies, salads, etc. Open late evening for snacks as well. Breakfast in the mai. Dining room was usually mediocre at best. Often your eggs would be cool, overcooked, etc.
