Well, the Star did not disappoint, again! We cruised her in 10/04, same itinerary (though was changed first time). We booked Princess Air for the first time, and it was perfect for embarkation. Grabbed shuttle at airport...highly recommend for the $10, as they then transport your luggage to your room directly from the bus. We were off plane at 1:15, an in our room by 2:15! Amazing! We also had our first interior room ever, and found it to be just fine. Princess has the biggest closets, and such efficient storage options. We were traveling with friends who had never cruised before...they, too, are hooked after this one!

I was concerned about dining after some iffy reviews recently...no worries. I think I gained more on this cruise than any other! Buffet was better than before, and we had daily breakfast there. (fresh fruit, eggs, cheeses, meats). Daily lunch was either pizza or burgers by the pool--just as good as we remembered. We had anytime dining, but were able to get a standing ressie w/ Matthew, courtesy of Albuquerque, head waiter. These 2 guys REALLY made us feel SO special...special nightly appetizers for us that weren't on the menu...we really like building the relationship with one waiter. Favs were filet and sirloin steaks, pork tenderloin(AMAZING), crab legs, lobster, fettucine alfredo (I am NOT a fan usually, but this stuff was to die for!). Desserts were MUCH better...mocha souffle, amaretto ice cream, creme brulee.

We have yet to have attended a major show on Princess...but always are entertained. Casino was great, (Stewart, tournament manager is a hoot!), newlywed game, Princess Idol, pool games, bingo. All great!Friends said comedians were super--wish we had gone. Cruise director Billy London was nearly invisible, and comes across as pompous to me. Leah, his asst, is good & tries hard. Rest of his staff is terrific! (we were very spoiled by director/asst on first cruise--very visible, entertaining & approachable)
