This is my 4th cruise and I learned to pick cruises based on stops and ship entertainment. This cruise left from San Juan (Pan American Port) and visited 5 different islands. I have been on Carnival, Princess and Royal Caribbean and I love Royal Caribbean the most. The ships are elegant and well maintained. There is so much fun entertainment that you cannot possibly do it all in one week. In my opinion, Carnival ships are a step down and cheap looking, Princess cruises are a bit too boring and Royal Caribbean is just perfect. The ship is designed so you can be in the middle of the crowd or you can hide in a quite area where you cannot hear anyone. The adult pool is nice and quite and the other pool constantly has some activities or music playing. The ice show was fantastic!!!! For an old ship, the appearance is very clean and well maintained. I love the promenade and the ongoing activities and shops there. My favorite bar was the sky bar on deck 13 where you can see the ship pools and the sea. The food overall was good. We ate at the buffet for breakfast and lunch and at the main dining for dinner.
The room was small but so well designed that 2 of us had no problem with the small space. The shower was also small but again we spend very little time in the room. There are plenty of closet space and shelves to organized your staff and suitcases fit under the bed. There is a divider between the bed the the couch "living room". The carpet was a bit old and in the need of replacement. But if you want everything new, you need to go on a new ship.
