Just got back from a 7 Day Eastern on the Splendor. I normally do not write reviews but this experience warranted my time!

Spoiler alert: It was an amazing cruise and has completely changed my views on Carnival!

I always loved cruises as a teen, and now that i'm in my late twenties I am finally financially stable enough to return to cruising, and I did so on the premium lines (Celebrity, Princess and Royal Caribbean) with four cruises in as many years. with Carnival was completely off my radar, thinking my higher end tastes would not be satisfied by the "trailer park of cruise lines"... (which was my impression of them).

Absolutely the most stable area of the ship during rough seas!Room was great. Close to the elevators, but far enough so that noise was never an issue. There was a cold front that hit south Florida and the Caribbean during our cruise which caused very high waves and wind for 5 of the 7 days of our trip, the sea conditions were rougher than any cruise I have ever been on and you could feel the boat move pretty substantially, but somehow not in our cabin... I'm not sure what it was about this location that provided such a stable ride but i'm glad it did... the couple we cruised with had a room right in the middle of the ship and the movement was significantly worse than in ours. Also Make sure you book deck 7, Its where all the suites are so the cabin staff is excellent and it is by far the most insulated from noise.
